COMING TO AZART GALLERY in MARCH
New York City curator and gallery owner Latifa Metheny opened Azart Gallery in 2014 before relocating Azart Gallery to Woodstock, NY, in 2024. She brought with her a reputation for showcasing innovative and original work of artists influenced by abstract, figurative, illustration, pop culture, and street art.
Her reputation continues this March and April with the return of STANDPOINT, an acclaimed group exhibition series by six Hudson Valley artists featuring first-time-seen original art interpreted around a central theme.
STANDPOINT, founded in 2024 by JW Cornbroom and Archil Pichkhadze, was conceived as a way to showcase the myriad interpretations of a subject by a small group of artists. Each expression of the shared theme offers viewers a unique way to explore their interpretation.
STANDPOINT 5 runs from March 28th through April 26th, with Standpoint artists Leah Lopez, Naoko Oshima, Pam Timmins, Archil Pichkhadze, Mark Hopkins, and JW Cornbroom. Opening reception is on Saturday, March 28th from 5- 9pm.

Contemporary Artists of the New York Hudson Valley region
STANDPOINT was formed by JW Cornbroom and Archil Pichkhadze in 2024 to challenge artists with tasks that highlight their unique abilities. The objective of a STANDPOINT exhibition is to have a small group of artists interpret the same subject in their own way, each making the same image from a different 'standpoint'. The artists present fresh one-of-a-kind work for each exhibit.
